Ten-year-old Conrad unexpectedly becomes President of the Liberty Republic and appoints three children as his Ministers of Finance, Foreign Affairs, and Defense. When a maritime dispute with the Northern Federation pushes both countries toward war, the young cabinet uses surprisingly simple logic to solve problems that experienced adults have made dangerously complicated. As military tensions rise, the children uncover evidence that politician Gray and Northstar Defense have been manipulating the crisis for profit. Despite facing impeachment, Conrad and his friends expose the truth, prevent a world war, and survive the vote by a single ballot. But just as they celebrate their victory, a massive storm begins moving toward the Liberty Republic—bringing the young president his next national crisis.
